Colombia stopped electricity sales to Ecuador on Thursday, January 22, as both countries are locked in an escalating trade dispute.
They also announced a reciprocal 30% tax on products from Ecuador, in response to tariffs announced by Ecuador on Wednesday, January 21.
However, Ecuadorian officials said they have enough energy to supply their daily needs even without imports from Colombia.
