Chinese robots made their debut at the UN headquarters in New York on Monday, Feb. 9, during a Spring Festival celebration hosted by Chinese Mission to the UN.

The event, themed “Galloping Forward with the United Nations,” blended tradition and innovation and drew more than 600 guests, including senior UN officials and diplomats from over 120 countries.

Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations Ambassador Fu Cong extended New Year greetings and said drawing inspiration from horse, an animal known for its courage, unity, and perseverance, China stands ready to work with all countries to firmly support the cause of the United Nations, jointly address global challenges, and build a community with a shared future for humankind.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres thanked China for its strong support for multilateralism and global solidarity. He also expressed the hope that the spirit of the horse would bring health, happiness, and prosperity to all.
