Inflation in Argentina is picking up pace, challenging President Javier Milei’s promise to rein in the country’s long-running price crisis. Consumer prices rose for a fifth consecutive month in January.
The surge is also fueling scrutiny over the government’s decision to delay implementing a new formula for calculating the official inflation rate.
