Despite recent Trump administration tariffs and trade policies, the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles -- the largest in the nation -- have set a record high for container volumes in 2025, by handling 9.9 million containers. But the numbers can be deceiving according to trade and shipping experts, who point to a different outlook for this year, as the impact of tariffs begin to take its toll on supply chains and consumer prices.
