The Port of Long Beach and the Port of Los Angeles together form the largest container port complex in the United States, handling about 40 percent of the nation’s containerized imports, much of it from Asia. As a major gateway for trans-Pacific trade, Long Beach is home to hundreds of businesses with strong ties to Asian markets and has become a hub for annual Chinese New Year celebrations.
