Russia has been the "only winner" of the war in the Middle East, European Union Council President Antonio Costa told EU ambassadors on Tuesday, March 10.

Costa warned that U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran have drawn attention away from the front lines in Ukraine, benefiting Moscow. He called for the United States and all parties in the Middle East to return to the negotiating table to bring an end to the conflict.
