U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth escalated rhetoric against Iran’s new leadership on Friday, March 13, alleging that the newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, was wounded, and that the country’s leadership was in hiding.
Iranian officials confirmed the supreme leader had sustained “light injuries” and remains actively engaged in his duties.
