A sandstorm swept through tent camps in southern and central Gaza on Saturday, March 14, destroying shelters and belongings as thousands of displaced Palestinians struggled to secure their makeshift homes.

Since October 2023, the Israel-Hamas war has displaced about 90% of Gaza’s 2.1 million residents, leaving them exposed to harsh weather in tents and damaged buildings.
