Argentina’s Parana Delta threatened by climate change, urban development

The Parana Delta is a labyrinth of rivers and streams at the mouth of the second-longest river in South America. 

The ecosystem is a vital reservoir for freshwater and biodiversity. It also stores carbon and regulates water cycles.

But, due to climate change, agriculture and urban development, it is now facing major threats.
