U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday, March 23, that peace talks were underway between his country and Iran. Following the statement, oil prices dropped below $100, as the markets seemed to react positively to the news. However, not long after Trump's claims, Iran denied that any peace talks were taking place, prompting the market to surpass $100 a barrel once again. So was it all a ruse to profit from oil prices?
