United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has appointed a new envoy to lead UN’s efforts to resolve the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, saying it’s crossed red lines in ways that leaders once thought unthinkable.
Guterres’ comments followed discussions of other major crises at the UN Security Council this week, including the situation in Gaza and in Ukraine, where member states described hostilities as being “worse than ever.” Mitch McCann reports from the United Nations.
