The U.S. Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, on Tuesday, March 31, claimed regime change had occurred in Iran.

But his declaration raises questions, especially as the U.S. has thousands of troops in the region for a possible ground operation, while claiming negotiations for a ceasefire are progressing.
