Security footage obtained by the Associated Press appears to show the abduction of U.S. freelance journalist Shelly Kittleson in Baghdad on March 31.
Kittleson reports from Iraq and Syria for several news organizations including Al Monitor, the BBC and Politico. The footage shows two men forcing a person into a car before driving away.
Iraqi authorities say one suspect has been arrested, while others fled with Kittlesom in the abduction. Officials believe she is still being held in Baghdad. U.S. officials say Kittleson had known of multiple credible threats against her before the abduction.
