Israel struck Tyre, the fifth-largest city in Lebanon, on Wednesday, April 8, just hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a two-week pause in fighting in the Middle East between the U.S. and Iran. Trump said Israel would also comply with the ceasefire.
Tel Aviv, Israel, issued an evacuation warning to residents and instructed them to move north of the Zahan River. The attack comes after Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the ceasefire did not include Lebanon. However, Tehran's 10-point peace plan included a complete cessation of hostilities in Lebanon.
