Surveillance footage shows the moment a daring high school principal subdues a former student who entered Pauls Valley High School in Oklahoma last week wielding a firearm.

Principal Kirk Moore was shot in the shoulder during the confrontation and is expected to recover. The former student, 20-year-old Victor Hawkins, was taken into custody.

Governor Kevin Stitt commended Moore and other staff members who “acted bravely to protect students’ lives.”
