U.S. Central Command released a video Monday, April 20, showing Marines rappelling onto and seizing an Iranian-flagged cargo ship that allegedly tried to break the blockade near the Strait of Hormuz. 

The U.S. Navy intercepted and disabled the cargo ship en route to Bandar Abbas, Iran on Sunday, according to CENTCOM. 

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran are reaching a new breaking point following the incident, as the fragile two-week ceasefire concludes Tuesday with little progress on peace.

Iran has condemned the US attack, denying breaking the ceasefire agreement, with the Foreign Ministry saying the U.S. has shown it is not serious about the diplomatic process.
