The Chinese film Blade of the Guardians was screened on April 22 at the Canada-China International Film Festival in Montreal.

More than 300 local filmmakers, students and scholars attended the screening.

Dai Yuming, Consul General of China in Montreal, delivered remarks at the event.

The film features Xinjiang’s striking desert landscapes and blends rich Chinese culture into the wuxia genre.
