Palestinian Football Association president Jibril Rajoub refused to shake hands or take a photo alongside Israel's Football Association vice-president Basim Sheikh Suliman during a tense moment at the FIFA Congress on April 30.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino called both men forward in an attempt to mediate tensions. But Rajoub declined to move closer, saying afterwards he would not shake hands with someone “representing a criminal like Bibi (Benjamin Netanyahu).”
Rajoub also shouted "We are suffering" after rushing out of the attempted photo-op between the Israeli and Palestinian football federations.
FIFA Secretary General Matthias Grafstrom also defended World Cup ticket pricing, noting that costs reflect the North American market, with a range of cheaper to more expensive options.
