Canada and EU strengthen trade ties

he United States used to be Canada’s strongest ally and biggest trading partner, but that has soured since President Trump took power for a second time, mainly due to the lumber, automobiles and steel tariffs the U.S. imposed on Canada.

Now, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney is looking to strengthen ties with other trading partners like the European Union. Nina Devries has more from Toronto.
