Colombia has started conducting deep brain stimulation surgery — a procedure to help patients who suffer from depression. According to the Ministry of Health, approximately 2.4 million people in the country suffer from depression.
One doctor hopes to give patients with treatment-resistant depression a second chance at living a fulfilling life.
