US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the US would not let Iranians with ties to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps enter the U.S. for the World Cup.
Despite the ongoing conflict, Rubio said the U.S. has "no problem" with Iran's national football team players and support staff entering the World Cup, and it was their decision to stay in Mexico.
Nevertheless, he added that the US will be watching the team's delegation and its links to the IRGC closely.
