Morocco and Mexico might be one of the World Cup’s best love stories. It started when Moroccan captain Achraf Hakimi defended a Mexican reporter asking him a question in Spanish.

Then, in Monterrey, Mexican fans backed Morocco loudly against the Netherlands. After the win, Hakimi thanked them for their support, while coach Mohamed Ouahbi said Morocco will repay that love when Mexico comes to the 2030 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Morocco.
