U.S President Trump announced that the Republican Party will hold its first-ever "Midterm Convention," a two-day event on September 9 and 10 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. 

Trump called it a "truly Historic Event" meant to showcase the administration's accomplishments, and it comes as Republicans defend narrow House and Senate majorities.
