AI engineers tackle next challenges

Thousands of developers, executives, and researchers gathered in San Francisco for the AI Engineer World’s Fair, one of the industry’s largest events focused on artificial intelligence. 

Discussions centered on the rapid pace of frontier AI development, government regulation, open-source innovation, and how businesses are deploying AI agents at scale. 

Companies including OpenAI⁠, Anthropic⁠, and Google⁠ showcased advances, while China’s Z.ai⁠ highlighted its latest open-source model. 

Speakers said the next challenge is ensuring AI systems are not only more capable, but also easier to manage, regulate, and integrate into real-world applications.
