Rescue crews continue searching collapsed buildings for survivors and victims as families sift through the rubble for belongings. Survivors credit earthquake preparedness with saving lives, while many others mourn missing relatives. Aid centers and volunteer medical teams are providing clothing, food, and healthcare to displaced residents who lost their homes. Although emergency relief efforts continue, local residents say rebuilding damaged neighborhoods and restoring livelihoods will take years.
