U.S. President Donald Trump said the interim agreement aimed at ending the conflict with Iran is "over" after Iran attacked three commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, U.S. Central Command said the launched a "series of powerful strikes" on Iran targeting air defenses, radar sites, anti-ship missile sites and small boats used by Iran's military.
Speaking at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkiye, Trump accused Iran of violating the truce, defended U.S. strikes, and warned Tehran would face a much stronger response to future attacks. Iranian state television said one of the vessels it fired on had ignored warnings on using that route.
