A grandfather was seriously injured after a massive bull bison suddenly charged him at Yellowstone National Park's Bridge Bay Campground. Witnesses said the animal chased the man around a tree before launching him an estimated eight feet into the air. Campers rushed to help protect the victim until National Park Service emergency responders arrived. The shocking encounter highlights the dangers of approaching or unexpectedly encountering wildlife in Yellowstone, where bison can sprint at speeds of up to 35 mph and are responsible for more injuries than any other large animal in the park.
