United Nations member states gathered in New York to review progress on the Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on clean water and sanitation, affordable energy, industry and infrastructure, sustainable cities, and global partnerships. António Guterres warned that a financing gap exceeding $4 trillion annually is threatening progress toward the 2030 targets, with only a fraction of goals currently on track.

China presented recommendations on behalf of the Group of Friends of the Global Development Initiative, calling for stronger international cooperation and greater support for developing countries. Member states concluded the forum by reaffirming their commitment to achieving the SDGs despite ongoing financial challenges.
