Sunbathing is currently a regular practice in China as Sanfu Days approach. These days are the three 10-day periods of the hottest and dampest days in the lunar calendar.
It’s a wellness practice known to clear the body’s dampness and boost energy.
The Sanfu period is divided into three periods: Toufu, Zhongfu, and Mofu.
To stay cool in the heat, people eat light, cold dishes, rely on flour-based foods for nutrition, and eat noodles to promote sweating.
