A 7.4-magnitude earthquake shook Colombia on August 10, causing structural damage, injuries, and over 110 deaths, according to the country's president.

The earthquake’s epicenter was in San José del Palmar, Chocó, in the city’s Pacific region.

Tremors affected major cities such as the capital, Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, and Manizales, where a historic cathedral was damaged.

Authorities near the epicenter are on alert for aftershocks.
