Time is running out for the United States and Canada to finalize a trade deal, just hours before a midnight deadline when U.S. President Donald Trump’s 50% tariff is set to take effect on about $20 billion worth of Canadian goods.

Earlier this week, Trump said the two sides were close to reaching an agreement, but key details remain unclear.
