Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew mocked Donald Trump’s proposal to rename Lake Ontario “Lake America,” comparing it to an ageing rock band trying to replay its old hits.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney also rejected the proposal, saying the name Lake Ontario is more than 400 years old and predates both Canada and the U.S., adding that it will be “Lake Ontario, then, now and always.”
