Mexico is launching a new strategy aimed at attracting more visitors from China as it seeks to expand tourism and deepen economic ties between the two countries.

Plan China calls for greater promotion on Chinese digital platforms, more Chinese-language tourism information and partnerships with travel companies and the Chinese government.

Tourism operators say challenges remain, including a shortage of certified Mandarin-speaking guides and limited Chinese-language information at popular destinations.
