Tariff conflicts impact businesses on both sides of US-Canada border

The escalating U.S.-Canada trade dispute is putting growing pressure on businesses on both sides of the border, particularly in closely integrated industries such as automobiles, steel and manufacturing. 

In Michigan, companies say higher tariffs have sharply increased the cost of imported parts and Canadian lumber, forcing some businesses to raise prices or lose contracts. 

The impact is especially significant for the auto industry, where components routinely cross the border several times during production. CGTN's Dan Williams reports from Detroit, Michigan.
