The United Kingdom announced bans on trade with Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, slamming what they call "settler terrorists" for carrying out "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians.

Canada and France announced they would be taking part in a similar action in response to expanding settlement violence in the West Bank.

In retaliation to the UK's announcement, Israel has closed the British consulate in Jerusalem.
