Anthropic says in the past eight months it stopped dozens of cases of scientists from using its Claude AI models for research that could have led to the creation of biological weapons, including viruses, venoms, and toxins.

It comes after a former Anthropic safety researcher resigned saying out-of-control AI could kill all humans.
