Chinese President Xi Jinping visited the White House and met with U.S. President Donald Trump on September 24.

Sourabh Gupta, a senior fellow at the Institute for China-America Studies, welcomed President Xi’s announcement that China will invite 100,000 young Americans to visit over the next five years.

He described people-to-people exchanges as a stabilizing ballast in China–U.S. relations.
