US Supreme Court opens nine-month term in October with Colorado climate lawsuit

The United States Supreme Court is back in session and the justices began the new nine-month term by hearing arguments over whether energy companies can be held responsible for the impacts of climate change. Officials in Boulder Colorado have accused Exxon and Suncor of damaging the environment and misleading the public about the risks of burning fossil fuels. Now the Supreme Court will decide if Colorado has the authority to move forward with the case in state courts. CGTN’s Walter Morris reports.
