The United States is sending a third aircraft carrier and around 10,000 military personnel to the Middle East as the Trump administration weighs renewed strikes on Iran.
The USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group is expected to arrive by the end of November, according to U.S. officials.
It will join the USS George H.W. Bush, deployed in April, and the USS George Washington, which deployed in August. Ships from the USS Boxer Amphibious Ready Group are already in the region. The total number of troops in the region will reach 50,000 with this newest addition.
