Artificial intelligence has become part of the 2026 midterm machinery. Campaigns are using it to analyze voters, generate campaign content, and monitor online conversations. 

But they’re also using AI to create hyper-realistic deepfakes of their political opponents—making it harder for voters to distinguish AI from reality.
