The midterm elections this November can be seen as a litmus test for the party in power.

Voters have the chance to express their approval, or disapproval, for the politicians running the country. Voters will cast ballots for members of Congress. But as CGTN's Gerald Tan explains, the midterms are widely considered a referendum on the US President and his party.
