Chinese officials, American scholars and students gathered in Washington, D.C., for a China Media Group-hosted dialogue exploring China’s approach to governance, economic development and opportunities for international cooperation.

Speakers examined how long-term planning, infrastructure investment and technological innovation have shaped China’s modernization and what lessons other countries might draw from its experience.

Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Xie Feng emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries, while American participants shared perspectives on China’s development and the value of firsthand cultural exchanges.

The event also highlighted the story of an American educator whose friendship with a Chinese farmer in Inner Mongolia helped support reforestation efforts, illustrating how people-to-people connections can help bridge differences between China and the United States.
