It's getting harder for Black Americans to find jobs, especially Black women, who have been hit disproportionately hard by federal layoffs.

Data shows that Black unemployment is now double white unemployment.

It's a troubling trend for the overall labor market, since statistics show Black workers are usually the first to lose their jobs in an economic downturn.
